Glucose oxidase is a kind of aerobic dehydrogenase. it specifically catalyzes the reaction between glucose and oxygen, to generate gluconic acid and hydrogen peroxide, and to consume oxygen simultaneously , while hydrogen peroxide would be decomposed to produce water. Glucose oxidase has multiple physiological effects in livestock and poultry breeding.
Enzyme activity definition (Enterprise standards)
The amount of enzyme is taken as one enzyme activity unit, which is that D- gluconic acid and H2O2 are oxidized by 1.0μmol β-D- glucose in a minute, at pH 5.5 and under the condition of 37 ℃.
